Our Unique Characteristics

We are a Presence-driven + word-based school.

Spiritual leaders are both presence-driven and grounded in the word of God. We are committed to leading in both spirit and truth. We consistently ask God for His mind and His heart for His school.

Exodus 33:13-18, Psalm 105:4, 1 Samuel 2:35

We develop consecrated reformers.

We embrace developing set-apart, marked, and radical spiritual leaders who are bold and fearless in making the crooked way straight in every sphere of influence: family, religion, education, government, media, arts and entertainment, and business.

John 1:23, Isaiah 45:13

We love Israel.

We celebrate and embrace the Jewish culture, the God of Israel. We love what God loves, and recognize Israel as our spiritual family and the foundational inheritance of our faith.

Romans 1:16, Psalm 122:6

We house vision.

We believe that God has given vision that reaches beyond the walls of a school. Our heart is to develop and support the vision that God has entrusted to students of this school through relationship and a heart posture of submission.

1 Peter 5:6, Ecclesiastes 4:12

We empower women in every sphere of influence.

We endorse and promote women in ministry. We empower women to fulfill the Biblical call of God on their lives.

Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:17, Acts 18:26

We lead through service.

We believe Jesus is the greatest example of a spiritual leader. He declared that He came to serve and not be served. We desire to have a heart posture like His, of humility and service. We know that true authority is not found in those who lord it over people, but those who are willing to wash the feet of people. We serve in His house and in our community.

Our Standards of leadership

Daily Encounters

There is only one way to God, and it’s through Jesus — but in Jesus, there are many ways to connect with God. We disciple people by helping them discover how they best connect with God and by teaching them to access the presence of God on a daily basis.
Matthew 6:7-15, Proverbs 8:34, John 15:4, 1 Samuel 3:10

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is not optional. When you stop forgiving, you stop spiritually growing. We are never more like Jesus than when we are forgiving!
Ephesians 4:32, Matthew 6:14-15, Colossians 3:13

Sabbath

We are committed to honor the Sabbath. We set apart one day a week and keep it holy unto the Lord. The Sabbath was made for us to rest, heal and hear God.
Hebrews 4:9, Exodus 20:8, Isaiah 56:2, Ezekiel 20:12, Mark 3:1-6

Tithe

We honor the Lord with the tithe. With joy, we give to God our first and our best!
Malachi 3:8-10, Matthew 23:23-24

Unity

The favor of God is found in unity. Our desire is to be in perfect unity with the Holy Spirit, which brings us into unity with one another! We understand that unity pleases the Lord.
Psalm 133, Ephesians 4:2-6

FAQs About FIU

Spiritual Leadership School (SLS) has partnered with Faith International University (FIU) to allow students to earn fully accredited degrees—Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate—while being developed as Spiritual Leaders. Through this partnership, your SLS coursework counts toward your degree, integrating spiritual formation and academic excellence.

In just two years, you will:

  • Be developed as a Spirit-led leader
  • Earn your Bachelor’s degree (or continue toward a graduate degree)
  • Be equipped to impact every sphere of culture
  • SLS courses count toward nearly half of your required degree credits.
  • In conjunction with SLS, you’ll continue your studies through online FIU courses alongside your SLS peers.
Thanks to our partnership, FIU offers a scholarship exclusively for current SLS students, bringing the total cost of a Bachelor’s degree through FIU to under $12,000. Additionally, Pell Grants are available to qualifying students—potentially making your entire degree tuition-free.
That’s a win! FIU accepts most previously earned credits (as long as they align with your chosen degree). This means you can transfer credits, shorten your course load, and save time and money.

Not for this specific pathway. This opportunity is exclusive to our partnership with Faith International University, selected for:

  • Their shared Kingdom values
  • Their willingness to give academic credit for SLS courses
  • Their generous scholarship program for SLS students
